The 545th Prakash Parv (birth anniversary) of the first guru of Sikhs, Guru Nanak Dev was commemorated with great fervour at MB Khalsa College, Rajmohalla on Sunday.

INDORE: The 545th Prakash Parv (birth anniversary) of the first guru of Sikhs, Guru Nanak Dev was commemorated with great fervour at MB Khalsa College, Rajmohalla on Sunday.
"Earlier, during the week-long celebrations, 'prabhat pheris' were organized from Monday to Thursday, followed by a three-day 'akhand paath' at Gurdwara. Kirtan darbaar and Gurbani recital were organized.

A series of lectures and poems on life of Guru Nanak Dev was also part of the celebrations," said Guru Singh Sabha president Manjeet Singh Bhatia.
On Sunday, about 1.5 to 2 lakh people from different religions came for the langar. Celebrations culminated with fireworks on Sunday midnight, said Khalsa Academy president Ranveer Singh Hora.
The celebrations also took place at fifteen other gurdwaras of Indore.
